You Only Get One Chance to Live– Love Your Life! #LYL

Friends, breathing does not mean that you are living…it simply means that you are breathing…and air is flowing in and out of your lungs…period. There are many among us that are breathing but not living. You see for some people, life has been hard, it’s been rough….the storm may have come and engulfed some folks to the point that they no longer desire to sustain life. No matter how bad the storm has been giving up should NEVER be an option.

Now please don’t snub your nose at what I just said…because some of you are masters at putting on your MAC make-up, your Michael Kors apparel, your fine fragrances and you successfully cover up your stinch. What stinch? I’m so glad you asked! The stinch from your painful past. Your hurts, your pains, your sufferings, yes, you know exactly what “stinky” stuff I mean. For some folk, you are able to conceal your “stinch” behind “stuff”. Imagine this, if I put Secret deodorant on to conceal “odor” eventually the smell will surface, you can only conceal stinky stuff for a period of time..eventually it will remind you, that it’s still there.

So when it comes to life, why try to conceal “stinky” stuff just to get by? When we do so we are not doing ourselves any favors. It is much better if we accept the stinch that is left behind from the past and then deal with it so that you can put it behind you and move on with loving your life.

Your past is a part of your history, it should not be the story that you live over and over again. Now please don’t get me wrong, there will be occasions when you need to share your story with others to help them. When God has healed you, moved you beyond your painful past or delivered you from a painful situation  in your life, then it is always good to help others to move beyond obstacles that you have already overcome.

Sharing your story is not the same as reliving your story. So this painful thing has occurred and it happened to you. I’m so sorry, for your pain but a time must come that you must be willing to move forward and get on with the business of living life again.

Friends, a few months ago, I had the pleasure to encounter a woman that has a vision to help others to live and enjoy life and to do it on purpose. Her name, Dr. Hashonah Lockette.  Dr. Lockette is the Executive Pastor of Grace Church of Stone Mountain, GA and she is on a mission to empower individuals though God’s word and by way of Transformational Leadership. She is a teacher , and a mentor to many on how to live life to the fullest!

Dr, Hashonah Lockette will be kicking off the Love Your Life Tour in Omaha, Nebraska this week! WOW, WOW, WOW! What a blessing to the folks in Nebraska! Friends, we don’t want to just live life to get through it but we want to enjoy life. We should all strive to love the life that we have been blessed with to live it to the fullest!

Ask yourself are you enduring life just to get through it or are you loving your life by living it to the fullest! #LYL
