Playing To Win– While “Dealing” with Doubt……

Friends, unless we have a crystal ball, and we can tell the future, (and we can’t), we may often times find ourselves dealing with doubt. Doubt is a result of fear, and fear paralyzes, restricts, and prevents us from doing what we need to do.

May I share a personal experience with you? Two years ago, I decided to say good-bye to Corporate America. In my decision to walk away from a life that was “known” to me, I was faced with a new life that was “unknown”. The truth is, I had no idea what were in the cards for me. The only thing I was certain of is that I was dealing with doubt.

I went through periods of not knowing what was going to happen next and because of this, the doubt began to multiply. I began to question my decision to leave a life that was familiar to enter into a “new” beginning.

Fast forward, it’s been 2 years, and guess what friends? I am winning in life! Yes, even-though I was dealing with doubt, I’m still winning! So what makes me a winner? I’m so glad you asked! I removed “doubt” from my hand and I began to pursue my passion! Friends, you see when you have faith in your hands, there is no room for you to hold a place for doubt.

Faith is believing in something, whether we can “see” it or not. So how was I personally able to remove doubt from the equation? I did so by increasing my faith in my self. Here’s what I know. During my 20 year career in Corporate America, I was a shining star….sometimes no one even acknowledged that I was shining. But I knew it! And I knew I was a bright star. I also knew that if I set my mind to something that I could make it happen.

You don’t believe me? I shall prove it! Friends, I have been telling people for years that I was going to write a book. 2 years ago, I set my mind to do it and guess what? I gave birth to an Amazon Best Seller, Journey to a New You!  I removed all doubt and I believed and I had faith that I could write a book, and then I did it! #JourneyToANewYou

Today, I am approached with numerous opportunities in life. For each opportunity, there is always some form of doubt as it is something new to me, but as soon as I begin to believe in myself, I become a winner! The truth is, when we have faith all things are possible for those that believe.

When I think of how faith and doubt oppose one another, I think of the passage of Jesus walking on water. In Matthew 14, when Jesus called to Peter to come to him on the water, Peter came. But the fear of the wind overwhelmed Peter and he begin to sink. The unknown of walking on water caused Peter to have doubt. And he called out to Jesus to save him. And Jesus did save Peter but he responded to Peter saying, “You of little faith, why did you doubt?”

Friends, how many times have you wanted to pursue something but you were dealing with “doubt” and the fear of the unknown paralyzed you and held you hostage or like Peter, doubt made you sink? How many times have you allowed doubt to rob you of your belief in yourself and your abilities to win? I am thankful that 2 years ago I had enough faith to believe in myself because today I am WINNING!

Ask yourself do you believe in YOU to have faith to pursue your dreams even-though you are dealing with doubt? #PlayingToWin #NoDoubt
